CMPA Guidelines – Helping Guard Against Serious Injury
Operators need to meet the requirements of the Victorian Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act 2004 and the Victorian OHS Regulations 2017.
This Guarding Guideline together with the CMPA’s Work Safely Reference Manual aims to support members to establish and successfully implement plant and equipment guarding specific to site requirements.Z
Focusing on guarding requirements for both fixed and mobile crushing and screening plant and equipment, the guideline is also inclusive of concrete agitators/mixers used within the construction materials industry.
The following table provides an overview of the general guarding requirements to achieve compliance and regulatory requirements while protecting employees and providing a safe workplace.
