Women in Industry Awards: Recognising Renata Hjelmstrom, Lincom Group

By Emma Morrison

Progress in heavy industry rarely happens by accident. It is driven by people who question how things have always been done, seek better ways forward, and quietly influence the standards the rest of the industry follows.

The ‘Women in Industry Awards’ were created to recognise exactly that.

Across sectors such as quarrying, engineering, transport, logistics and manufacturing, the awards shine a light on women whose work goes beyond day-to-day performance, recognising those who are shaping how businesses operate, how industries
evolve, and how progress is measured over time.

Lincom’s Group Marketing Manager, Renata Hjelmstrom, was recognised this year as a finalist in the ‘Marketer of the Year’ category.

The recognition highlights the increasingly strategic role marketing plays across the industry; customers are looking for clarity, reliability, and confidence in the decisions they make, which has shifted the way organisations communicate.

“I’ve been fortunate to spend much of my career in the heavy equipment industry, and I still find it just as rewarding today. Marketing allows me to help customers solve real challenges and build relationships based on trust. Being recognised for that work is incredibly special,” she said.

As the industry continues to evolve, so too does the role of marketing. Renata’s finalist recognition reflects the growing importance of professionals who can translate technical expertise into meaningful customer value.
